Playing for Pizza  - by John Grisham

A good book that touches upon the lifestyle of an NFL quarterback.

The book starts with the central character Rick, a professional American NFL quarterback plays a disastrous game and in the process gets physically hurt too. His agent after a lot of adress-book searching, much to the delight of Rick, finds a place for him in one of the NFL teams. The only problem here being, its not an American NFL team, but an Italian.

The books walks through the various professional dillemmas and pressures that a professional athlete faces and the way they affect his life and character. Rick's surroundings and relationship with his parents, agent, girlfriend, team mates and adversaries are well portrayed against the backdrop of the Italian 'Pizza' culture.

Definitely worth a read.
