Posted by coreindian on 20 Jun 2008 The Book has a very strong resemblence to "The Old Man and The Sea", by E.Hemmingway , so if you liked the book chances are that you will enjoy this one either. Here, Yann Martel has done a wonderful job of writing an an adventure story that always holds you and grows on you as it progresses. It seems incredulous when it begins but as it goes on it makes you want to believe in it. By the time it ends you are completely overwhelmed and are its staunch supporter. The story also tries to bring aorund the message of religious harmony, however how far Yann is successfull in that only the reader can judge. It is definitely Yann's best work till date.
