The much awaited sequel in the Inheritance Series

Posted by kunal1985 on 15 Mar 2008
Christopher Paolini started writing this series at the age of 16. In an era where Harry Potter had become a rage, these series gave a great competition to on the market for best selling fantasy books.. With Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Dragons & Dragon Riders these books fire up the imagination.. The First 2 books were amazing. Although initially this series was supposed to be trilogy.. the author realised that it wouldnt be possible to complete the series in three books so Instead of writing Empire, he is bringing out a third book called "Brisingr"
Coincidently Brisingr is the word for Fire in the Ancient Language which was known to the Elves, Dragons & Dragon Riders, & a few a mages. The story starts of at the End of the Battle which took place in the Burning Plains.  The Wardens had won a very bloody victory over the Empires Army. Also It is in this battle that Eragon is united with his Cousin Roran & his village people. He family links get revealed. Murtagh who was apparently assumed dead in the first book, turns out to be the New Rider on the Red Dragon. Murtagh has been sworn in by Galbatorix in the Ancient Language
This book is continued from this point. Eragon had promised Roran that he would help him rescue Katrina from the Razac. Eragon must also return one last time to the Elven Dwelling to complete his training.  Hopefully this book should be as interesting & action packed as the previous 2.  The book is slated to be released in Late September of this year.
